THE NORTH KIRK ART AND CRAFT FELLOWSHIP
This is a group of enthusiastic crafters who meet on a Friday afternoon in the back hall of the North Kirk between 2pm and 4pm.

There are painters, knitters, embroiderers, felters, patchworkers, or anything you fancy bringing along whilst chatting! Each member donates £2 per session to help towards heating and lighting. We have a refreshment break half way through the afternoon and meet all year with breaks for Summer and Christmas. We close at the end of June and resume the first Friday in September. All are welcome.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY GROUP
The group meets fortnightly on a Wednesday in members’ homes.

We enjoy studies and discussions using a variety of resources. The main resource we used in 2023 was “16 Bible Studies for Your Small Group” by Ryan Lokkesmoe. Each week we donate to "our fund". The money is disbursed, as appropriate, to causes we wish to support. In 2023, we held a barbeque in June and a picnic in August, both in members' gardens. At Christmas, we provided a hamper for a local family and we had an enjoyable “Christmas” meal in January!

PNK CHILDREN’S MUSIC GROUP
We are an informal music group that usually meet in the North hall of Penicuik North Kirk. We have a varied membership made up of parents, grandparents & childminders.
We encourage children aged from a few weeks old to 5 years to enjoy music and rhyme through the use of pre-recorded music, musical instruments and lots of actions and movement. Many of our songs are assisted by Makaton signs, we continued this and it is lovely to see how quickly the children learn the signs and actively join in.
The children’s music group meet on a Wednesday morning 10-12. It is a group for children 0-5 years to enjoy music and rhyme with pre-recorded music, musical instruments and song and dance accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or childminder.

FUN WITH FLOWERS
The group meets on a Monday from 2pm-4pm between September and May.  We are a friendly group, and anyone interested in flowers is welcome to come along. If you require any further information, please contact Irene Young on 674064.

KELLOCK CLUB
The Kellock Club is Penicuik North Kirk’s Men’s Club which meets on the last Thursday of the months of September through to June. The Club is open to male members of North Kirk, adherents and their friends. Our programme is varied and interesting, which includes speakers and an annual visit to a place interest. New members will be made most welcome.  For further information please contact: David Tulloch 07833 617494.

PASTORAL CARE
The past year has been very quiet for the Pastoral Care team. Very few visits were made before lockdown and, of course, guidelines stated that we were not allowed to undertake visiting. I have, however, taken a note of people brought to my attention and hopefully 2021 may see some sort of visiting being possible.
If anyone has a need to chat on the phone then I am happy to arrange this.
As always, my thanks go to the team of Pastoral Care visitors.

RENEW 26
Quiet shared spaces where it ok not to be ok.

Renew26 run two simple cafe style spaces where hobbies and activities are shared or co-produced. Each cafe space is attached to a quiet room or prayer space where inner habits of wellbeing are shared. We partner with a mental health professional from “Health In Mind” to ensure good inclusive practices for our safe spaces, where it's OK not to be OK can be sustained.

Being prayerful • Being present • Being in partnership

We meet Thursday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm at the Glencorse Centre, and Friday Mornings from 10am to 12pm at Penicuik North Kirk.
